Privacy policy

This policy covers capyhound.com. It explains what we collect, why, and how you can have it deleted. In short: we collect your email only if you join the app waitlist, we don’t sell it, and we don’t set cookies.

What we collect

• Waitlist sign-ups. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the page you signed up from and the time. We use them only to tell you when the Capyhound app is available, and to see which pages people sign up from.
• Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Visit statistics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
• Maps. When a map loads, your browser requests map images from OpenFreeMap, whose servers receive your IP address and the area you are viewing. Directions links open Apple Maps or Google Maps, which follow their own privacy policies.

What we don’t do

• We don’t set cookies on capyhound.com.
• We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
• We don’t track you across other websites. Because of that, we treat browser “Do Not Track” signals the same as any other visit.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist emails until you ask us to delete yours or until we no longer need them for the waitlist, whichever comes first. Cloudflare keeps technical logs according to its own policies.

Your choices

• Every email we send has a link to unsubscribe.
• To see, correct or delete the email we hold for you, write to [email protected].

Children

Capyhound is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change affects how we use waitlist emails, we will tell people on the waitlist first.
